Week 2 - MTC

Ciao!

I have been here for more than 2 weeks and I am still alive! But I am starting to somewhat enjoy this. I don't really have any exciting news, so sorry about that.

On Tuesday we had TRC (volunteer members come and we get to practice teaching them). It probably would have gone better and been more productive if my comp didn't recognize the first guy from Ohio and chat with him in English the whole time. The second one was a sweet old man who had served his mission in Milan, and I had a good conversation with him about the book of Mormon in 100% Italian !

The Italian is coming along great and is so much fun! So far I have memorized the 1st vision, baptismal invite, our purpose  and Mormon 10:4-5 memorized in Italian!

Sister Russell had us all write compliments to everyone that we passed around, and if felt so nice and loving to both receive and come up with nice things to say to everyone.

One night we (me and the 3 other sisters I live with) sat around a bucket of cheese balls and had a good chat that lasted a little bit too long but it was much needed and relaxing and helped us bond a bit.

I'm actually really loving gym time. It goes by so fast! I've gotten a lot of basketball practice in, too, so tell dad to watch out when we play driveway basketball in 18 months!

Lots of teaching, reading, and learning has been happening. Not much else.

If you look closely you can see the SNOW! that was a fun surprise for the middle of May.

Elder Tillman (I met him at EFY, he is going to SLC mission) and I matched on Sunday so we had to take a picture...he put his arm around my shoulders probably out of habit, and my comp snappèd the pic...my district leader was very upset at him....so yeah oops. I touched a boy!!!! You can see the shock on my face. But it's ok I prob won't get cooties

A super happy Sorella Riley reciting her purpose in Italian. The first vision video will come next week! She seemed so happy and excited today and just glowed with light and the Spirit!!!!
