Week 47

Torino 41 - I ate bunny sausage

Here's our week's summary  We got to go to Milano for new missionary training, A passed her baptismal
interview, E has a baptismal date in April, and the weather has been beautiful. I played aranciata pong, we
had a fun 2nd scambio,we went to my favorite museum in Torino, all about films and it is one of the few
museums I would willingly go back to (again). A kind member gave us a house plant and bunny sausages
(supposedly better for you than chicken)!

We did some Sunday evening giant Book of Mormon finding as a district. We got out 3 Books! So why are we
trying to flood the world with this book? Prob. bc it is true and contains the word of God. There's this lovely
chapter inside that I invite all of you to read, 2 Nephi 29. I'll highlight a few verses, but it was hard to select
only a few. (7-11)

 7.    "Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created
all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and
in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the
earth?
 8. "Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the
testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto
another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two nations
shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also.
9.     And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I
speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one word ye need not
suppose that I cannot speak another; for my work is not yet finished; neither shall it be until the end of man,
neither from that time henceforth and forever.
10. Wherefore, because that ye have a Bible ye need not suppose that it contains all my words; neither
need ye suppose that I have not caused more to be written.
11.   For I command all men, both in the east and in the west, and in the north, and in the south, and in the
islands of the sea, that they shall write the words which I speak unto them; for out of the books which shall be
written I will judge the world, every man according to their works, according to that which is written."

God is our Heavenly Father and he loves us. That phrase is nothing new, right? He wants to communicate with
us while still leaving us with our agency. So we have prophets who write down important stuff for us and every
individual gets to choose if they want to read it, then they get to choose if they want to apply it. I have grown to
love the scriptures. I am finding gems that have been in there, on a bookshelf in my house my whole life and
now, after 20 years of being taught by others, I am able to find things for myself that I never realized and it is a
beautiful thing. This is why we try so hard and face so much rejection to share this second witness of truth and
Jesus Christ with others. This is why we get so happy when people read. This is why I always have a copy in
my backpack to share with someone. I love the scriptures!

Why do you love the scriptures?

Ok I love you guys!
