Torino 47 - GELATO FESTIVAL
We discovered why I stayed in Torino so long. I had to be here this week. It was great. You get to try a bunch of gelato flavors and vote on your favorite. Some options were: chocolate/blueberry/rosemary, bread/pepper/Zaffron, pumpkin seed, and black sesame seed. I ate 19 mini cones that day. It was a good day.
We did some finding and taught some lessons. Our English Class Mostra in Collegno turned into making paper airplanes out of the flyers and aiming them into the trashcan. That got people to notice us!
Last transfer, our mission had a huge focus on the Book of Mormon. Ever since, I've always had a signed and marked copy ready to give away. The other night we were talking to an old lady who gives bread to homeless people. She ended up breaking down and crying bc of family issues, etc. And she just wanted to feel peace in her life. I pulled out my copy that conveniently had 2 Nephi 2 marked. She promised to read it. Our message is all about peace and joy. This message we're spreading can fill that empty hole inside of people if they'll just listen and keep commitments.
Life is good. I now enter my last week in Torino. Crazy.
I love you all!
Sorella Riley
