That quote is somewhat applicable to this week's email but mostly for all you who have missed me constantly quoting that movie.
So yeah some huge changes this week!
Big news: We're now using Facebook! They announced it to the zone and then we spent a good chunk of time cleaning up our profiles and such. We'll be able to contact so many more people more efficiently while still doing all the other missionary work stuff we've been doing. This mission is turning out to be way different than I had expected but I am pumped! But Facebook is only for mission related purposes, I'll still be on the good old myldsmail for life updates and convos with friends.
We'll be getting smartphones within a few weeks, too. Those will also be essential with communication, but more importantly we won't have to whip out our Samsung silver flip phones from the early 2000's when someone gives us their number. So yeah, maybe we'll not be mistaken for Amish as often...
Heartwarming moment of the week: it was storming on Sunday. I was concerned about our new member making it to church and he didn't answer his phone. Then he showed up soaking wet. He had made the 40-ish min walk in the pouring rain. His bike was stolen and it was storming hard, but those obstacles are nothing when compared to a testimony like his. I am continually inspired by our wonderful new member!
