Forlì - week 14 - I bought some ties.
We went to Firenze for scambio (exchanges), but we went a little early to see the city and obtain tie and scarf orders for the Anziani. The market was huge and wonderful!
Scambio was fun, I was with Sorella J. We did some teaching and I became even more grateful to be in a biking area instead of riding busses to get places. Firenze was fun to experience. We got stopped multiple times by Mormon tourists, it feels good to be appreciated. But I was happy to get back to Forlì where things are in Italian and you don't get harassed by crazy sales-people.
We got 5 new students in English Class last night. We had 5,000 flyers so that brings our odds of a flyer bringing in a student to 0.1%.
J (the guy we taught who is super awesome and ready, but couldn't get to church, then our prayers and fasting were answered with him being moved to a place that is closer to Rimini, but now he can go to church) is getting baptized in Rimini tonight! I get to translate the whole thing for the Africans, using fancy little headset things so everyone can understand. I am so excited for our golden, miracle investigator!!!
Remember that I love ya'll and it's never too cold for Gelato!
Love,
Sorella Rachel Riley
