We had a wonderful week!
Every Thursday we cook lunch at a hause for refugees and people trying to find work. They just throw you in the kitchen and tell you how many people will be eating and we get to work with whatever donated food there is so that was fun! We made a risotto, salad, and scrambled eggs. We also got to tell a lot of people who we are and why we're here and had some great conversations.
On Friday, we did an hour of finding (daily, as recommended by President) at a park by the river. I started with a "Do you speak English" approach and startled this guy who was sitting on the bench and hadn't seen me approach him. He said yes. He doesn't really speak English, he speaks French and Italian and comes from Camarun (I don't even know how to spell that). We talked for a while, he said he's a missionary for his church but accepted our invitation to learn more. He wanted to come to church on Sunday, so we met up and walked there together. We arrived early and taught him about our church and our beliefs. The Spirit was strong and he was very thoughtful. He agreed to read the Book of Mormon and pray. He stayed for all 3 hours of church, and met lots of members. I'm sure he'll keep coming to church and we will keep teaching him. That was really cool. Old-fashioned finding works!
We taught a spontaneous lesson to a group of 7 youth. It went well and it kept switching from Italian to German bc they all speak both and probably aren't actually aware of which language is coming out of their mouths. Good thing we had prepared a generic lesson, you never know what they'll ask the missionaries to do in small branches!
We had 4 investigators in church plus 2 teenage girls who showed up. They are both named Katharina. One of them spent a year in SLC, Utah, living with a Mormon family and went to church and seminary with them. She brought her friend to check out our branch! We taught them the Restoration of the gospel. They were awesome! Super prepared. Them coming was a true miracle and I can't wait to see where it leads!

We got to teach "The Restoration: a message of God's love for his children" to three people in one day and it felt so good. There is so much work to do in this area and I absolutely love it!
Monday we had a lesson with a rather frustrating referral. The lesson went way overtime and in the end I was just like, "we have the only true church on the Earth and that's why your baptism into the other church won't save you" so I'm a year into my mission and still have a long ways to go to become a PMG, Christlike missionary but the guy wants to keep meeting with us so maybe that's what he needed. We'll see.
Today was spent with the district, we rode cable cars up a mountain, had a little hike to see the Earth Pyramids, and fed some baby goats. I'll attatch some pictures!
We used the Gen Conf talk from October 2017, "I Have a Work for You" in a spiritual thought and I really like that talk. We were all put where we are for a reason and there is good work waiting to be done by us. I invite you all to read it some time this week. I love y'all!
